2021-2022 ACTION TEAMS AND PROJECTS

Climate Action Team: Throughout the year, this team works alongside the Sustainability Ambassadors to bring awareness to the emerging climate crisis. Learn how to make your own Impact Project or start your own climate advocacy effort.

Diversity Action Team: In charge of creating, planning, and hosting the yearly Unity through Diversity event held at the Bellevue Youth Theatre, this action team creates ways to highlight and celebrate the diversity here in Bellevue.

Kids Care Coat Drive: Previously known as the Teen Closet, this Action Team is in charge of running and hosting multiple warm clothing drives throughout the school year. By getting the community involved, they have been successful in distributing thousands of jackets and clothing to those families in need. 

​

Leaders Now: Previously known as Leaders of Today, (which has now been successfully turned into a youth-led non-profit organization), Leader's Now focuses its efforts on engaging and connecting youth to their community through leadership connections.

Covid-19 Support Action Team: When the pandemic first hit, the youth decided they needed to help those in the community who might not have access to information when it came to Covid-19 and the vaccines. Since its beginning, the Covid-19 Support Team has led many virtual informational sessions with medical providers available to answer any questions. In partnership with Worth A Shot, they have been praised for having valuable information all at no cost to the community.

Virtual HW Helpers: When schools shut down and pivoted to virtual learning, students formed a 1:1 virtual tutoring platform to help those students most in need. They were able to partner with the Bellevue Boys and Girls Club to reach more students in need of tutoring.
